Text Box:

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I am originally from this area.  I grew up on a farm near the small town of McHenry which is about 50 miles north of here on Highway 20.  I attended undergraduate school at Valley City State (then college) University and taught in elementary schools in Belcourt, Glen Ullin, and Devils Lake, ND.  I joined the Benedictine Sisters at Belcourt for 3 years working in parish ministry on the Turtle Mountain Reservation.

I attended graduate school at Seattle University (Jesuit) in Seattle and have worked in parish and campus ministry since.  My last “stint”  was at the University of Nebraska in Kearney where I was the Director of the Newman Center.  During this time I studied and was trained as a Spiritual Director and was certified in the fall of 2003. I am also an Associate of the Presentation Sisters in Fargo, ND.

In June of 2004 I was offered the position of Director of Faith Formation at the Basilica of St. James. I accepted and moved to Jamestown in July.   I was happy to learn that a part of the job description here is to connect with the campus of Jamestown College. I have found it to be a very welcoming community and so far I have enjoyed getting to know faculty, staff, and students.   Since it has been a very busy fall, I haven’t had as much time as I would like on campus. Hopefully that will change.

I enjoy being back home in North Dakota where I can connect with my family without driving too far.

I do invite you to contact me at any time.  I enjoy going out for coffee, meeting for lunch or even breakfast.

If you have questions about the Basilica “or anything at all”, please don’t hesitate to call me.
