Jamestown College offers a bachelor of science degree in nursing, a program that incorporates all the requirements for a nursing major plus liberal arts courses which provide a broad foundation for clinical thinking.

Why Jamestown College?

As a student nurse at Jamestown College, you will learn and develop professional level skills in the art and science of nursing.

Freshman acceptance

As a freshman you may have the opportunity to be admitted to the nursing program and thus be assured you will automatically admitted to the nursing program as a sophomore. Certain high school criteria must be met in order to be eligible for this program.

Diverse clinical settings

Our students have the opportunity to fulfill their clinicals in a variety of facilities within our community. Sample facilities are:

International travel opportunity

For one of your senior clinical experiences, you may choose to travel to Chogoria, Kenya. You will have the opportunity to work in a remote hospital deep in the jungle at the base of Mount Kenya and travel to remote villages to deliver nursing care and medications. You will visit schools and orphanages and, of course, you will enjoy a safari on the Masaai Mara!

Another senior leadership opportunity involves working in a hospital in Nha Trang, Vietnam and Taipei, Taiwan. These hospitals are very modern and the students will experience the best of both western and eastern medicine.

Proven success

Jamestown College nursing graduates work in all specialty areas such as critical care, pediatrics, geriatrics, and many others. The work placement rate for Jamestown College nursing graduates is 100 percent. Our graduates are working as registered nurses throughout the United States.
