Chamber ensembles presenting Christmas concert Dec. 4
Jamestown College chamber ensembles will present a Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 in Voorhees Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.
Members of the Wind Ensemble will play Christmas favorites in small groups, including a flute trio; clarinet trio, quartet and quintet; saxophone quartet; two brass ensembles; and a percussion ensemble. The concert will be presented in a prism format utilizing multiple points of performance throughout the Chapel.
“Playing chamber music greatly increases the demands on student musicians,” says Benjamin Schneider, Director of Bands and Orchestra. “The opportunity for learning and growth increases proportionately. This concert follows smaller performances at some local nursing homes and the Buffalo Mall earlier in the week.”
