Physical Therapy Opportunities

Jamestown College is developing a new doctor of physical therapy program in Fargo, ND. The program will be located in a new professional building close to two large hospital/medical groups and is expected to enroll its first class in the fall of 2013. Fargo is a dynamic, growing urban center of approximately 208,000 people. It is the cultural, retail, manufacturing, educational, and health care center for a large trade area. Fargo has been recognized as one of the fastest growing and safest communities in the country and is located 40 miles from Minnesota lake country and close to exceptional hunting and fishing opportunities.

We are inviting applications for the following two positions.

DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL EDUCATION A full-time (12 month) director of clinical education (DCE). Applicants should enjoy the challenge of developing, conducting, coordinating, and evaluating the clinical education program for this dynamic new program. Responsibilities include clinical education, teaching, and limited scholarly activities and academic service. Minimum qualifications include: DPT or Academic Doctorate Five years of clinical practice in the US Three years of clinical instructor experience Academic teaching experience Licensure or eligibility for PT licensure in North Dakota This position is available immediately at a competitive salary with excellent benefits.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR A 9 or 12 month position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of musculoskeletal physical therapy (other areas of expertise will also be considered). We are looking for a motivated individual who would enjoy the challenge of working as a team in the development of a new program. Responsibilities include program development, teaching, scholarly activities, and academic service. Minimum qualifications include: DPT or Academic Doctorate Clinical specialty or equivalent in area of teaching Clinical practice in the US Academic teaching experience Licensure of eligibility for PT licensure in ND This position offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits.
